The mansion, originally built in 1890 by the influential Nickerson family, and then rebuilt in 1912 after a fire, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The impressive structure, along with the surrounding five-acre crescent of meticulously manicured lawns, is perched on a cliff overlooking the bay side of The Cape. Ocean Edge spans 400 acres and boasts Cape Cod’s only Jack Nicklaus Design championship golf course, a private beach, 6 pools, tennis courts, fitness center, basketball courts, bike rentals and direct access to the Cape Cod Bike and Rail Trail.

The Mansion Ballroom, Cape Cod’s largest luxury ballroom featuring 4,528 square feet of meeting or event space is the newest on Cape Cod. Our historic Mansion and Carriage house offers turn-of-the-century charm and intimacy perfect for board meetings or smaller groups, many of which have great views of Cape Cod Bay. There are 13 meeting rooms totaling over 21,000 square feet to for gatherings from 10 to 400, and accommodate varying set ups and agendas.
Ocean Edge offers Cape Cod’s only Jack Nicklaus Design golf course. The resort invested $8.5 million into the Nicklaus Design layout to be strategically appropriate for all levels of play. Perhaps the most memorable hole is the par-5, the 600-yard 17th. The tee shot is from elevated tees down into a valley with trees left and a gully and road to the right. The second shot is uphill to a plateau and the third is even further uphill to a table-top, triangular green. The course is exclusive to Ocean Edge Club Members and Resort Guests only.
